Storytellers
After studying the characteristics of
Native American storytellers, the Art 2 students created their own
storytellers in the style of the Pueblo. After being fired in the
kiln, they were painted with authentic colors. The students ultimately
learned how history and cultural traditions can be passed from one
generation to the next.

Tessellations
After studying the works of M. C. Escher, students
in Art I created Escher-like tessellations. A tessellation is a plane
filled with similar, interlocking figures, bordering one another without
gaps.

Mythical Beasts
Students used their imaginations to create mythical
beasts before drawing with white glue. The glue hardened to ridges which
created spaces that were filled with colored chalk.
